Priorities.

01

Budget Stewardship

Careful budgeting with students first.

School funding is under pressure across Texas, and Pflugerville Independent School District (PFISD) feels that pressure too. Chevonne is focused on making district dollars work for students by prioritizing classroom resources, staff compensation, and student services.

She served as Chair of the Finance Committee in 2024-25 and understands the district budget in detail. As the state legislature shapes funding formulas, Chevonne will continue to advocate for PFISD's fair share while managing local resources carefully and openly.

02

State Advocacy for Every Family

A Pflugerville ISD voice at the State Capitol.

Chevonne serves on the Texas Association of School Boards Legislative Advisory Council for 2026-27. In that role, she advocates for public school funding, professional school counselors, and local decision-making.

She has spoken against placing the burden of armed security on teachers and advocated for a district Special Education Family Engagement Specialist. She shows up at the Capitol because PFISD families deserve someone in the room who knows our district and our students.

03

Safety, Equity & Educational Outcomes

Safe campuses and support that reaches students.

Campus safety starts with qualified counselors and trusted adults in school buildings, not just equipment. As Chair of the Safety & Security Committee in 2025-26, Chevonne has supported mental health resources and advocated to increase hourly starting wages so PFISD can retain the staff who keep campuses healthy and functioning.

Equity has to show up in daily school life. Chevonne has supported PFISD's work in English Learner services and Special Education, including accommodations and support services for students with disabilities, both of which have earned district recognition. She also expanded public comment access so more families can be heard.
