Public education has been part of Chevonne's work long before this board term.

Chevonne has spent years showing up for students, families, educators, and the Pflugerville community. Her three years on the Pflugerville Independent School District (PFISD) Board are the elected-service chapter of that longer commitment: bringing community experience, hands-on budget oversight, and practical district knowledge to the decisions that shape our schools.

The Board President is the highest elected officer of the school board, selected by fellow trustees. The president represents the board publicly, facilitates effective governance and lawful decision-making, and helps foster a collaborative board culture focused on student outcomes and academic opportunity.

Legislative Advisory Council

One of a select number of Texas trustees elected to advise the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) on legislation affecting public schools, with direct access to legislators and state policy staff.

OutcomeAdvocates for school funding, local control, and student protections that affect PFISD's budget and day-to-day decisions.

Oversees campus safety protocols, evaluates resources, and makes recommendations to the full board on how to protect students and staff.
